Ross Brown Partners, Inc. represented the Sub-Tenant, Concentrix Corporation, and Jones Lang LaSalle represented the Sub-Lessor, University of Phoenix, in a 101,000 SF office lease at 1601 W. Fountainhead Parkway in Tempe.
Originally a spec office building design that was revised to accommodate the educational use of University of Phoenix, the 3 ½ floors of pristine office space had never been occupied. Curtis Brown, Founding Principal of Scottsdale based Ross Brown Partners, said Concentrix was able to move quickly to secure the new space with only a two month span between identification of the property and move-in.
“It’s really unusual to see a deal of this magnitude and complexity move so quickly. Sub-leases are notoriously difficult and 100,000 SF office facilities are not simple things to move on, but speed and results are what our client required,” said Brown.
“We couldn’t have done it without engaging with a great team on the other side. There are too many people to name them all, but the U of P team and Dave Seeger at JLL were outstanding to work with.” University of Phoenix was represented by JLL’s Managing Director Dave Seeger in the lease transaction, along with John Bonnell, Karsten Peterson, Brett Abramson and Mark Gustin.
Concentrix Corporation, a leader in high-value global business services, is expanding its Tempe, Arizona presence which will house the new flagship global services delivery center. The new state-of-the-art facility boasts free covered employee parking, a modern fitness facility, beautiful grounds, and an onsite waterfront bistro. Operations begin this month as Concentrix ramps up new client programs. Current hiring efforts are projected to place over 1,200 employees in the new center.
“We provide customer engagement services for some of the world’s most prestigious brands and are expanding into this larger space to keep up with the growing demand for services delivered from the Phoenix area,” said Jyllene Miller, senior vice president, Concentrix Corporation. “We’ve been in Tempe since 2007 and are continuing our investment here because of the high-quality, educated talent in the area, the concentration of colleges and universities, the appeal of Tempe to clients, as well as the close proximity to Sky Harbor Airport.”
